Published: First photos !!!

As some of you may know, I intern at Transworld SURF Magazine.  SURF invited me with them to the US Open of Surfing held in Huntington Beach, CA.  They asked me to help shoot photos and capture the action at the contest.  Some of my photos were good enough to print.  Results: First photos published in the mag!

Look for the November 2008 issue of Nick Rozsa blasting a huge air in MEX at your local 711>  This happens to be TWS staff photographer Chris Straley’s first cover shot! Congrats Chris.

World Premier, The Pursuit: A surf flick by Aaron Lieber

Dirty Jerz and I hitched a ride from the TransWorld SURF office with our buddy Matt in his new, well new to him, ‘66 Rambler. We cruised up to Laguna to be a part of the World Premier of Aaron Lieber’s new flick, “The Pursuit”. We showed up just in time to jump into the fun. I was assigned the duty of capturing some video interviews by Miss TransWorld Surf, Heather Rose. We found our way into the Hurley Bus.  Heather started asking the surfers fun questions while I caught it all on video with TWS’ new HD minicam. The interviews were a bit sloppy, as the surfers were expressing their excitement for the new film in the form of drinking alcohol. We ended up getting some entertaining and classic footage from the surfers. The video was rad! The surfing was great and the music was rockin’. Congratulations to Aaron Lieber and the rest of the crew.
